Executive Chef: Confidential Search

MML Hospitality is supporting a confidential executive search for an Executive Chef on behalf of a private membership club in Central Texas. The club is an established, member-driven operation with a robust banquets, weddings, and member events program. A significant capital investment in culinary infrastructure, including a newly built banquet kitchen, is coming online this summer. All inquiries and applications will be handled in confidence. The opportunity This is a flagship role for the right candidate. The Executive Chef will lead a kitchen of 25+ direct and indirect reports, own the daily member dining experience, and elevate the wedding and events business to match the club’s stature and the scale of its recent culinary investment. What you will own Commission and operationalize the new banquet kitchen Set the culinary identity: classical French foundation with modern, ingredient-driven execution Build the wedding and events business: plated dinners for 200 to 500-plus, member galas, holiday programming Hire, develop, and retain culinary talent Partner with the General Manager on culinary strategy, P&L, and member experience Steward food cost, labor, and quality standards consistent with a top-tier hospitality program Who we are looking for We are open to a range of backgrounds. The strongest candidates may come from any of the following: a fine dining restaurant of national reputation, an established luxury private club, an ultra-luxury resort, a flagship hotel with significant banquet operations, or a comparable institutional culinary program. What matters most is the depth of the craft and the proven ability to lead at scale. You likely have 20+ years of progressive culinary experience, with at least 5 years as Executive Chef of a property of comparable scale Deep classical French training and execution: sauces, pastry foundations, butchery, garde manger A demonstrable track record running banquets, weddings, and large-format events at volume, including P&L responsibility for events Experience leading brigade-style kitchens of 25+, with a record of hiring, developing, and retaining talent Comfort working alongside a General Manager, beverage team, and leadership on culinary strategy and member or guest experience Willingness and ability to relocate to Central Texas Nice to have Pre-opening or major renovation experience (commissioning a new kitchen) Wine and spirits literacy, with comfort partnering with a sommelier or beverage director Local sourcing fluency, or interest in developing strong Texas producer relationships ProChef, CMC, or equivalent European credential What the club offers $160,000 to $180,000 base salary Performance bonus eligibility Full relocation package A leadership seat at a member-driven organization investing meaningfully in culinary excellence The hiring organization is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. #J-18808-Ljbffr MML Hospitality
