Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior strategic advisor across a portfolio of client accounts, building executive-level relationships and providing proactive counsel aligned with client business objectives.
• Lead the development of communications strategies, messaging frameworks, corporate narratives, thought leadership programs, and editorial initiatives that drive measurable business outcomes.
• Oversee multiple client accounts and account teams, ensuring strategic alignment, operational excellence, and exceptional client service.
• Guide the development and execution of integrated communications programs, including media relations, executive visibility, thought leadership, speaking engagements, awards programs, and industry recognition opportunities.
• Partner with content, analytics, and marketing specialists to identify opportunities that strengthen client visibility, reputation, and market positioning.
• Develop a deep understanding of client businesses, competitive landscapes, and industry trends, with a particular focus on AI-driven innovation within healthcare, digital health, biotech, and life sciences.
• Provide strategic guidance to healthcare, biotech, and AI-first life sciences startups, helping clients navigate growth, commercialization, funding milestones, and market expansion.
• Identify opportunities to grow client relationships through expanded strategic counsel, additional agency services, and new business opportunities.
• Manage account health, including client satisfaction, retention, resource allocation, and overall account performance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop account team members, providing strategic guidance, performance coaching, and career development support while fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.
• Partner with agency leadership on business development initiatives, including proposals, pitches, and thought leadership that support agency growth.
• Represent the agency and clients through industry engagement, networking, conferences, and speaking opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of communications, public relations, and/or agency experience, with significant work in life sciences, biotech, pharma, and/or digital health (agency experience strongly preferred).
• Experience supporting VC-backed or high-growth healthcare, biotech, pharmaceutical, or AI-native life sciences companies, with a demonstrated ability to develop communications strategies.
• Proven ability to lead client relationships, manage cross-functional teams, and provide strategic counsel with minimal oversight.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with strong strategic thinking and storytelling capabilities.
• Strong media relations experience and a track record of securing earned media, thought leadership, and executive visibility opportunities.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and team leadership skills.
• Self-motivated with a strong client service mindset and commitment to exceeding expectations.

Salary Range: $120,000–$155,000 annually
