Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments utilizing trauma-informed approaches to evaluate patients' trauma histories, emotional states, and mental health needs.

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, resilience-building strategies, and patient empowerment.

• Facilitate evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to support clients in processing their experiences.

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping clients articulate their trauma narratives, develop effective coping strategies, and foster healing environments.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to offer integrated care solutions, ensuring all aspects of client well-being are addressed.

• Provide crisis intervention as needed during trauma-related emergencies, maintaining a calm and supportive presence.

• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses, resilience strategies, and available community resources to empower them beyond therapy.

• Maintain accurate, confidential health records in compliance with legal, ethical, and best practice standards.

• Participate in professional development activities focusing on trauma-informed care, remaining current with the latest research and treatment modalities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal candidate will work primarily with individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including those suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and related mental health challenges. Our patient population is diverse, encompassing various age groups, backgrounds, and life experiences. As such, understanding and adapting to the unique needs of each client is critical to delivering effective therapy.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.

• At least two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
