Bookkeeper & Office Support

Location: Madison, WI (East Side)
Pay: $20.00-$24.00/hour (Based on Experience)
Schedule: Monday-Friday | Flexible start time between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Bookkeeper & Office Support professional for a well-established company on the east side of Madison. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys a combination of bookkeeping, customer service, and administrative responsibilities in a friendly, team-oriented office.

Job Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and enter vendor invoices.
• Record customer payments and maintain accurate financial records.
• Create purchase orders and enter data into company software.
• Answer incoming phone calls and greet visitors professionally.
• Provide receptionist and general administrative support.
• Assist customers and respond to inquiries.
• Support accounting and office projects as needed.
• Maintain organized files and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Previous bookkeeping, accounting, or office administration experience required.
• Strong data entry and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, ERP systems, or similar is preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Positive attitude with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
