Position Overview

The Guthrie Physical Therapy is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist to join our outstanding team at our outpatient rehabilitation center located in North Fort Myers, Florida. The selected candidate will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing personalized treatment plans, and delivering high-quality care focused on restoring mobility and improving overall quality of life. This full-time position operates onsite, with standard working hours from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of new patients to determine their physical abilities and limitations.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that cater to the specific requirements and goals of each patient.
• Deliver hands-on therapy, utilizing advanced techniques and modalities such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and neuromuscular re-education.
• Monitor patient progress closely, adjusting treatment protocols as needed to optimize recovery and functional outcomes.
• Educate and empower patients on self-management strategies, emphasizing techniques to prevent future injuries and enhance wellness.
• Engage routinely with other healthcare professionals to coordinate and enhance holistic patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation using EMR systems, particularly Web PT, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and insurance requirements.
• Participate in continuing education and training sessions to stay current on industry best practices and emerging trends in physical therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic serves a diverse patient population, including athletes recovering from sports-related injuries, post-operative patients, and individuals managing chronic pain conditions. As such, the Physical Therapist must demonstrate expertise in orthopedic care while exhibiting empathy and understanding to help patients navigate their recovery journeys.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Possession of a valid and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of Florida.
• Exemplary clinical skills, with a proven ability to develop and execute effective treatment plans.
• Proficient in utilizing EMR software, particularly with hands-on experience using Web PT.
• Knowledge of evidence-based physical therapy practices supported by recent research and technology.
• Strong communication skills to foster client engagement and interaction with team members.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient setting, particularly in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Experience in sports medicine or working with athletes is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated expertise in advanced manual therapy techniques and exercise program design.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
