The Banquet Captain is responsible for supervising and leading banquet service staff to ensure flawless execution of morning events, corporate breakfasts, and early‑day private functions. This role requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate guest needs in a luxury setting, while role‑modeling CordeValle’s Core Values. Key Responsibilities Lead, supervise, and support banquet servers and bartenders during events. Ensure rooms are set up and broken down according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and CordeValle service standards. Serve as the primary liaison with clients and event hosts, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction. Coordinate closely with the culinary and beverage teams for seamless service. Train, coach, and motivate banquet staff in service excellence. Monitor staff performance, appearance, and adherence to policies. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards. Address and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally. Complete post‑event reporting and provide feedback to management. Requirements Previous banquet or fine dining service experience required; supervisory or captain experience preferred. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment. Professional demeanor with a focus on luxury guest service. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and stand/walk for extended periods. Availability to include weekends and holidays. Available for overtime.
