Property Accountant

Carlisle Residential is actively seeking an experienced Property Accountant to join our team as we continue to grow and expand our portfolio! SUMMARY: Responsible for GeneralLedger and financial reporting for assigned properties. Assists Property Management staff withfinancial management and reporting activities. Must professionally representand promote Carlisle Residential Properties in the community. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsiblefor accounting, reporting and analysis for assigned portfolio of properties toinclude overseeing A/P, A/R, G/L, Bank Reconciliations, G/L Account Reconciliationand Monthly Financial packages. Providebudget preparation assistance to Property Management staff. Duties include thefollowing, other duties or additional properties may be assigned. 1. Monthly reviewand maintenance of the General Ledger for assigned portfolio of propertiesmeeting required deadlines including but not limited to:
• Analyze financial information detailing assets,liabilities, and capital
• Prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statement, andother reports to summarize current and projected financial position
• Reconcile reports
• Provide reports for management detailing issues andmonthly financial results 3. Reconcile allBalance Sheets and Bank Accounts for assigned portfolio of properties monthlymeeting required deadlines. 4. CoordinateGeneral Ledger and Financial Reports with Property Management staff to ensurereports are accurate and timely including but not limited to:
7. Responsiblefor reconciliation and maintenance of Escrow and Reserve accounts for assignedportfolio of properties meeting required deadlines. 8. Processcapital reserve requests for assigned portfolio of properties accurately and ina timely manner. 9. AssistProperty Management staff with budget preparation. 10. Must have fullunderstanding of Carlisle Residential Properties, Inc. internal policies andprocedures, making recommendations for updates and changes to maintainregulatory compliance and assist Carlisle Residential Properties, Inc. stayingcurrent with business practices. 11. Responsiblefor daily management of assigned responsibilities, meeting deadlines for alldeliverables 12. Providequality service to internal and external customers. 13. Assist withspecial projects and tasks when assigned. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be ableto perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed beloware representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degreein Accounting, Finance or related field from an accredited college oruniversity and at least two year's accounting/finance work experience, or anequivalent combination of training, education and experience.
COMPUTER SKILLS Computer experience to include inMicrosoft Office Word and Excel. MicrosoftExcel skills and the ability to obtain expert level skills using the CarlisleResidential Properties, Inc. in-house financial accounting computer system. LANGUAGE and COMMUNICATION SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, andinterpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technicalprocedures, tax and governmental regulations. Ability to write detailed reports, business correspondence, and financialprocedures. Ability to effectivelypresent information and respond to questions from groups of managers,employees, vendors, and the general public. ANALYTICAL SKILLS Ability to work with mathematicalconcepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions,percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to calculate figures and amounts suchas discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collectdata, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret anextensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form anddeal with several abstract and concrete variables. - Compile and analyze financial information
- Prepare entries to accounts
- Prepare and input Journal Entries
- Prepare and review financial statements
- Adjust any entries to accounts
- Reconcile accounts
• Analyze financial information detailing assets,liabilities, and capital

- Review accounts
- Follow-up on outstanding account issues
- Budget compliance
- Invoice approvals
- Past due invoices
- Process payments
- Audit collections and outstanding past due accounts
- Audit late notices and eviction notices
- Identify properties with unacceptable slow-pay and/or past due collections
7. Responsiblefor reconciliation and maintenance of Escrow and Reserve accounts for assignedportfolio of properties meeting required deadlines. 8.
