Position Overview The Department of Urology at Stanford University seeks a fellowship‑trained endourologist to join the Department as Assistant Professor in the University Medical Line. The ideal candidate will be experienced in both surgical and non‑surgical management of kidney stone disease, have an exemplary track record in patient care and teaching, and possess a background in translational and/or clinical research with the potential to develop an independent research program and secure extramural funding. Qualifications Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Urology and fellowship trained in endourology. MD or MD/PhD (or equivalent) with completion of house staff training and any required post‑doctoral fellowship training. Demonstrated excellence or promise of excellence in clinical care, teaching, and scholarly activity appropriate to the programmatic need. Evidence of capacity to attain regional and national recognition for contributions to clinical medicine. Commitment to teaching and ability to meet or exceed acceptable teaching standards. Responsibilities and Expectations Develop a robust research program aimed at attaining national recognition and independent extramural funding. Engage in teaching and serve as an integral member of the Department’s training programs. Produce innovative peer‑reviewed publications and secure extramural career development awards.
