What You’ll Do Analyze and reconcile financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance. Support monthly and year‑end close, reporting, and audit preparation. Perform variance analysis and prepare reports to guide decision‑making. Collaborate across teams to improve processes, systems, and financial tools. Skills You’ll Need Strong knowledge of GAAP, with governmental accounting knowledge a plus. Experience with general ledger accounting and financial close processes. Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with financial systems and data tools. Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving and reporting abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and improve processes. Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate and maintain confidentiality. What You Bring/Your Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. At least two (2) years of accounting experience. Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Possession of a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Georgia. Satisfactory credit history. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Tyler, Munis, or similar ERP and financial management systems. Experience working in a local government environment.
