Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual in-home or group therapy sessions with children and families, catering to unique needs and situations.

• Utilize evidence-based interventions to support clients in developing anger management techniques, coping strategies, and social skills.

• Work collaboratively with families to improve in-home decision-making and effectively manage behavioral challenges.

• Document therapy sessions meticulously, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring all records are submitted within designated time frames.

• Participate in monthly interdisciplinary team meetings to share insights and enhance treatment strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The ideal therapist will engage with a diverse cross-section of children and families, focusing specifically on youth ages 3-20 who are facing intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). You will play a crucial role in delivering personalized care and support to families navigating the challenges associated with these conditions, all while striving for improved outcomes and greater family cohesion.

Qualifications\n

• Must possess a Master's Degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field.

• The candidate must hold an active and unrestricted LMFT license.

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical experience is required.

• Candidates must be available to provide a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours of 4-7 pm, with some weekend flexibility preferred.

• A valid driver’s license and a registered vehicle are necessary for travel to client homes.

• A successful background check, including fingerprinting, is mandatory.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience providing positive behavior support is highly desirable.
