Work Environment\n

This role is primarily remote, providing you with the flexibility to conduct counseling sessions and parent meetings from your home while effectively engaging with the educational staff at local schools in Cape Coral. You will maintain regular communication with school administrators and teachers to align your social work interventions with school policies embedded in the students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or 504 plans.

Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Master Social Worker at Clarity Pathways Counseling, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments of students' psychosocial needs, integrating various factors that affect their academic and social performance.

• Collaborating closely with teachers, parents, and educational staff to devise and implement personalized intervention strategies aimed at improving students' emotional health and academic success.

• Providing individual and group counseling services to students dealing with a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral challenges.

• Advocating for students' rights and access to school and community resources, ensuring they are provided with adequate support systems.

• Facilitating regular check-ins with students and their families to monitor progress, adjust interventions, and ensure their mental health needs are being met.

• Documenting all services and interactions in compliance with legal standards, maintaining clear and organized records of assessments, plans, and progress updates.

• Assisting families in navigating available community resources, support groups, and social services to bolster their children's well-being.

Your primary focus will be on students ranging from elementary to high school age, addressing diverse challenges that affect their academic performance and emotional stability. You will play a crucial role in providing crisis intervention and support for students experiencing mental health crises and helping them navigate school-related stressors.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid license as a Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Florida.

• A minimum of two years of experience in a social work capacity, particularly in educational settings or with children and adolescents.

• Thorough understanding of social work practices, childhood psychological development, and available community resources.

• Excellent skills in assessment, counseling, and crisis intervention.

• Strong ability to build rapport with students, parents, and educators, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
