Account Manager -Engineering Talent (AI & Emerging Tech)

Game Seven Staffing matches top-tier engineers with high-stakes projects. Our clients range from two-person startups chasing their first patent to Fortune 500 companies refining mission-critical systems in aerospace, AI infrastructure, automotive, consumer products, medical devices, defense, robotics, and semiconductors.

As an Account Manager, you're the link between these teams and the talent they need. You'll build a nationwide roster of hiring managers and keep those relationships going for the long haul. If you like real conversations, steady follow-through, and watching hard engineering projects actually get built, this is a good fit. Hard work and resilience are the baseline. Curiosity, clear thinking, and a bias for action are what turn that effort into results.

AI is changing how every product gets imagined and built. From self-driving cars to surgical robots, demand for strong engineers has never been higher, and it's only growing. Game Seven helps the teams build that future and find the people they need, fast. As our next Account Manager, you'll connect engineering leaders with the specialists who can do the work.

Why This Role Is Different

Most staffing sales jobs run on brute force: cold lists, manual prospecting, dialing all day, and hoping enough volume turns into meetings. We don't work that

way. We built our own AI to find the business for you. It reads hiring signals across the market, points you toward the directors and VPs who need Principal engineers right now, and runs the outreach that gets meetings booked. By the time you're on a call, the prospect already has a reason to talk. The job looks different as a result. Instead of grinding for dials, you spend your time figuring out what an engineering leader actually needs, putting the right talent in front of them, and closing the deal. The AI does the heavy lifting on prospecting, so you can focus on the relationship and the close. That's a big part of why we're ahead of most of the field. We run on newer technology than the typical staffing shop, and we keep improving it.

What You'll do

  • Open doors & build trust. Introduce Game Seven to engineering directors and VPs, from seed-stage startups to household-name manufacturers, and keep those relationships going over time.
  • Spot the signal in the noise. Use our custom-built proprietary AI ATS/CRM engine, plus Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and Lusha, to find the hiring managers who need Principal Electrical, Software, or Mechanical engineers right away. The AI flags the opportunities, and you decide who's worth pursuing.
  • Show, don't tell. Work with our marketing team to build short case studies and demo decks that help prospects picture what success looks like.
  • Close good business. Negotiate SOWs, POs, and MSAs that work for everyone. We'll teach you the staffing-industry fine print.
  • Hit goals, grow fast. You'll have a clear quarterly quota and a direct line of sight into how hitting it shows up in your paycheck.

What Success Looks Like After 12 Months

  • A book of 50 or more active engineering managers who call you first when they need talent
  • $4 million in revenue from accounts you sourced or grew.
  • A reputation as the person who can read any engineering team's needs, from rockets to robotics, and deliver talent that keeps the work moving.

Tools You'll use

  • Core system: our custom-built proprietary AI ATS/CRM engine. It reads hiring signals, surfaces target accounts, and keeps your full book (contacts, notes, next steps, and automated nurture) in one place.
  • Outreach and sequencing: our own proprietary multi-touch sequencing tool, built into the COMPASS platform. It runs automated email and text cadences, so there's no third-party tool to learn.
  • Sourcing and data: LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and Lusha.
  • Phone: Ringover VOIP.
  • Productivity: Microsoft 365 (Teams, Outlook, and OneDrive).
  • AI in your day-to-day: the same proprietary AI works alongside you for account research, prospect workups, outreach drafting, and decision support.

What You'll Bring

  • All-in on AI. You already use AI every day for prospecting, research, account planning, and writing, and you reach for it before doing things the hard way. If you're skeptical of AI or you just haven't gotten around to using it much, this role won't be a fit.
  • Quick to adopt new AI tools. Give you a tool you've never seen, and you'll work out how to get real output from it. You refine your prompts instead of settling for the first draft, and you're glad to work on top of a proprietary AI platform.
  • Bachelor's degree. Any major is fine. We care more about how you think than what your transcript says.
  • Strong, steady outreach. You're comfortable with 60 to 80 well-researched touches a day, mixing calls with personalized sequences.
  • Problem-solver. You like untangling messy situations and turning vague requests into clear next steps.
  • Pattern spotter. You catch hiring trends early and adjust before everyone else does.
  • Genuinely curious. "Why?" is your favorite question, and you dig past the first answer to find the real need.
  • Comfortable living in a CRM and Microsoft staff
  • Thick skin and good humor. Rejection doesn't rattle you.

Bonus points for prior staffing or B2B SaaS sales experience, or for knowing your way around contract negotiations.

Pay & Growth

On-target earnings are base pay plus uncapped commission.

  • Year 1: $81,000 to $94,000
  • Year 2: $106,000 to 188,000
  • Year 3 and beyond: $160,000 to $680,000

We share quotas, comp plans, and real rep performance internally, so you'll know exactly how pay works and what's actually achievable.
