Role: Senior Business Systems Analyst II – SAP S/4HANA & SuccessFactors

Location: Aliso Viejo, CA – Onsite

Mode: Full time

Salary: $130k – 160k/PA + Benefits

Position Overview

The Senior Business Systems Analyst II – SAP S/4HANA & SuccessFactors will play a critical role in the implementation, integration, optimization, and post-go-live support of SAP SuccessFactors within an SAP S/4HANA environment .

This position will partner closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, IT, and external system integrators to design, implement, stabilize, and continuously improve end-to-end HR and HCM processes.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with SAP SuccessFactors, particularly Employee Central , along with experience supporting SAP S/4HANA integrations, global HR deployments, data migration, testing, hypercare, and long-term application support .

Key Responsibilities

SAP SuccessFactors Implementation & Integration

• Lead business systems analysis activities for SAP SuccessFactors implementation and rollout initiatives.
• Support functional design and configuration across SuccessFactors modules, including:
  • Employee Central
  • Recruiting & Onboarding
  • Performance & Goals
  • Succession & Development
  • Skills & Talent Hub
  • Compensation
  • Learning
  • Global Payroll
  • Advanced Analytics
  • Work Zone
• Gather and document business requirements, functional specifications, and end-to-end HCM processes.
• Support integration between SAP SuccessFactors and SAP S/4HANA , including employee data, organizational structures, cost centers, payroll, time, and financial posting information.
• Collaborate with technical teams on middleware, APIs, and integration solutions such as SAP Integration Suite .

Post-Go-Live Support & Optimization

• Provide post-go-live, hypercare, and ongoing production support for SuccessFactors and S/4HANA integrations.
• Act as a primary escalation point for production issues and coordinate root-cause analysis and resolution.
• Support system enhancements, SAP/SuccessFactors releases, change requests, testing, and deployments.
• Monitor system stability, data accuracy, workflows, and end-user experience.
• Identify opportunities for process and system improvements.

Business Analysis & Stakeholder Management

• Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions.
• Lead requirements-gathering workshops, process mapping, and solution review sessions.
• Support UAT planning and execution, including test scenarios, defect management, and business sign-off.
• Develop and maintain functional documentation, process flows, and support procedures.
• Collaborate with global HR teams and external system integrators.

HRIS Administration & Reporting

• Support the administration, configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of the global HRIS environment.
• Maintain data integrity and support HR data management activities.
• Develop and distribute HR reports, dashboards, and key workforce metrics.
• Monitor workflows and transactions to ensure accurate and timely processing.
• Support Employee Self-Service, Manager Self-Service, Benefits, Compensation, Performance, Learning, and other HR processes.
• Support vendor and third-party integrations, data feeds, and reporting requirements.

Governance, Compliance & Security

• Ensure HR systems comply with internal controls, SOX requirements, and applicable data privacy regulations.
• Support audit activities related to HR systems, integrations, access controls, and data.
• Partner with security and compliance teams on role-based access, segregation of duties, and data protection.
• Support change management, release governance, transport management, and deployment processes.

Project & Delivery Support

• Participate in cutover planning, data migration validation, testing, and hypercare activities.
• Develop project plans and monitor HRIS project progress.
• Coordinate external partners and system integrators.
• Support training and train-the-trainer activities.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to HRIS standards and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience working with SAP SuccessFactors.
• Hands-on experience with SAP SuccessFactors implementations and post-go-live support .
• Strong functional knowledge of Employee Central .
• Experience working within an SAP S/4HANA environment .
• Experience supporting SuccessFactors–S/4HANA integrations and data flows .
• Experience with global HR deployments and multi-country configurations.
• Strong understanding of Payroll and Time Management and third-party payroll integrations.
• Experience with requirements gathering, functional design, configuration, UAT, testing, and production support.
• Experience with data migration, cutover, and hypercare.
• Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology .
• Experience with HR reporting, analytics, and data integrity.
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori and HR reporting tools.
• Familiarity with SAP Integration Suite, APIs, XML, SQL/PL/SQL, and Expression Language .
• SAP SuccessFactors certification(s) preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SAP .
