divh2CNC Mill 5-Axis Setup/Operator/h2pLocation: San Jose, CA/ppReports To: Senior CNC Mill Programmer/ppFLSA Status: Non-Exempt/ppPosition Summary/ppThe CNC Mill 5-Axis Setup/Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining 5-axis CNC milling machines to produce complex precision components according to customer and engineering specifications. This role involves reading and interpreting technical drawings, ensuring tight tolerances, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency./ppKey Responsibilities/pulliMachine Setup Operation/liliRead and interpret blueprints, CAD models, and GDT specifications./liliInstall and secure fixtures, tooling, and workpieces for 5-axis CNC milling operations./liliLoad and verify CNC programs (Fanuc, Haas, Siemens, or similar) and make offsets or adjustments as needed./liliSet machine parameters to achieve optimal cutting conditions for various materials./liliQuality Control/liliPerform first article inspections (FAI) and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (CMM, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges, etc.)./liliMonitor production runs and make necessary adjustments to maintain dimensional accuracy./liliDocument setup sheets, inspection results, and production logs./liliCollaboration Troubleshooting/liliWork closely with programming and engineering teams to optimize machining strategies./liliTroubleshoot machining issues such as chatter, tool wear, or dimensional deviations./liliTrain and assist other operators when necessary./liliMaintenance Safety/liliPerform routine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication of equipment./liliFollow all company safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized work area./li/ulpWork Environment/pulliMachine shop environment with exposure to noise, coolant, and moving machinery./liliRequires standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs./li/ulpBenefits:/pulliMedical Insurance/liliDental Insurance/liliVision Insurance/liliLife Insurance/liliPaid Time Off/lili401(k) Retirement Plan/lili401(k) Employer Match/li/ulpRequirements/ppQualifications/ppRequired:/pulliHigh school diploma or equivalent./lili4+ years of CNC milling experience, including at least 2 years on large format 5-axis machines./liliStrong understanding of multi-axis machining and work holding principles./liliProficient in reading blueprints and applying GDT principles./liliSkilled in using precision measuring tools and inspection equipment./li/ulpPreferred:/pulliExperience with complex aerospace, medical, or automotive components./liliFamiliarity with CAM software (Mastercam, NX, Fusion 360, etc.)./liliKnowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality standards./li/ul/div
