Flynn Aire Heating & Air Conditioning, a trusted Long Island HVAC company serving our community for over 50 years, is seeking an experienced Billing & Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our busy office team.
This position is ideal for someone with strong billing and collections experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced office environment. The primary focus of this role is billing, accounts receivable, collections, and payment processing , while also providing excellent customer service and supporting daily office operations.
Responsibilities
- Generate and process customer invoices
- Manage accounts receivable and customer account balances
- Follow up on past-due invoices and collect outstanding payments
- Process payments and maintain accurate financial records
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies
- Answer and manage multiple busy incoming phone lines
- Schedule service, maintenance, and installation appointments
- Respond professionally to customer billing and account inquiries
- Coordinate with technicians and office staff to ensure efficient daily operations
- Perform additional administrative duties as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of billing and accounts receivable experience
- Collections experience required
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Experience with QuickBooks and Housecall Pro is preferred
- Previous experience in the HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or home service industry is a strong plus
- Dependable, professional, and detail-oriented
