We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a growing accounting team. This role will be responsible for managing customer accounts, processing payments, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the timely collection of outstanding balances. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and experience working in a fast-paced accounting environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage assigned customer accounts and maintain accurate account records
• Generate and distribute invoices in a timely and accurate manner
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding receivables
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies, account issues, and customer inquiries
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding account status and payment activity
• Apply, post, and reconcile customer payments
• Maintain accurate documentation related to accounts receivable activities
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing and payment-related issues
• Assist with month-end close processes, account reconciliations, and reporting as needed
• Support continuous improvement of receivables and cash collection processes

Qualifications

• 3 years of Accounts Receivable, collections, cash applications, or related accounting experience
• Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and customer account management
• Excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills
• Proficiency in Excel and experience working with accounting or ERP systems
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Experience with reconciliations, payment applications, and collections activities preferred
