The Role We are hiring a Full Charge Bookkeeper to own the monthly books for a portfolio of clients from start to finish. This is not a data‑entry seat — you will be the person responsible for keeping each client’s financials clean, accurate, and ready to present. You’ll work closely with the owner, who meets with clients monthly to review their numbers, so the quality and timeliness of your work directly shapes those conversations. The right person is diligent, organized, and stays ahead of the work rather than chasing it. You take ownership, you build trust with the clients on your book, and you treat their financials as if they were your own. What You’ll Do Manage full‑cycle monthly bookkeeping for multiple clients Perform bank and credit card reconciliations Reclassify bank fees and correct miscoded transactions Prepare clean, accurate monthly financial reports Handle payroll adjustments and related journal entries Make monthly adjusting entries to keep financials accurate and presentation‑readyMaintain organized, audit‑ready books and supporting documentation Build and maintain strong working relationships with the clients on your portfolio Support the owner’s monthly client review meetings by ensuring everything is reconciled and reported on time What We’re Looking For QuickBooks Certified (required) Extensive, hands‑on knowledge of bookkeeping and general accounting Proven experience managing the books for multiple clients at once Strong command of reconciliations, account reclassification, and month‑end close Familiarity with payroll‑related entries and adjustments Exceptional attention to detail and follow‑through — you stay on top of deadlines without being chased Professional, dependable, and comfortable communicating directly with clients In-Office Position This is a full‑time, in‑office role at our Woodstock office. We know this work can technically be done from anywhere — that’s not the point.
