POSITION TITLE: Court Program Specialist II DEPARTMENT: Juvenile Diversion Program ANNUAL SALARY: $48,040.08/yr POSITION: # 000133 FLSA STATUS: Excluded PAY GRADE: 30 POSTING DATE: June 18, 2026 CLOSING DATE: July 1, 2026 SUMMARY This position provides case management services for youth referred to the Juvenile Diversion Program, coordinating interventions and support services through a network of community providers. Responsibilities include managing case intake and referral processes, conducting evidence‑based assessments, coordinating intake appointments, maintaining accurate electronic case records and databases, and monitoring participant progress. The position also supports diversion‑related court proceedings, assists with case tracking and reporting, and ensures timely documentation and compliance with program requirements. Work is performed under general supervision in accordance with established policies, procedures, and program guidelines. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Three years of professional, administrative related experience. Should have general knowledge of court processes and procedures. Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration, criminal justice, psychology, sociology or a closely related social science field. Substitutions: Additional relevant experience may substitute for the recommended educational level on a year‑for‑year basis; additional relevant education may substitute for recommended experience; a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school may substitute for two years of the recommended experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Conduct case intake interviews with the youth and family, conduct evidence‑based assessments, refer and link youth and family to community resources by reviewing documentation and gathering case information from various sources. Ensure accurate documentation and tracking of case referrals and eligibility for program participation. Provide case management functions, review daily dockets, maintain contact with families, schools and treatment providers. Input case notes, process monthly treatment status reports, generate completion and return letters, process victim restitution payments into the case management system. Truancy case management, staff cases with truancy liaison, update case management systems. Process monthly status reports and generate completion and return letters. Facilitate evening programs to include Teen Court. Prepare files, forms and correspondence; create and maintain record systems for efficient case management. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to conduct interviews and evidence‑based risk assessments. Knowledge and experience working with community agencies and providing referrals. Skilled at providing case management services. Ability to work well under pressure; conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines. Ability to deal tactfully with the public. Ability to use discretion with confidential information. Ability to use a personal computer and Microsoft Office software. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Zoom. Ability to conduct research and compose technical reports. Must be adept at public speaking and have the ability to communicate clearly, concisely and logically. Incumbent must be professional in all regards.
