Job Details Location: Anthony House - Mt Dora, FL 32757 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: High School Salary Range: $15.00 Job Shift: Swing Job Purpose The Residential Specialist works cooperatively to assist homeless individuals to access services and benefits to overcome their homelessness. The Residential Specialist will work directly with participants daily to maintain the house and ensure program standards are being met. The Resident Specialist is responsible for always maintaining integrity. All duties will be performed in a courteous manner, allowing participants and staff to maintain a healthy sense of self-worth while maintaining a safe and sober environment. Key Responsibilities Advocates in the client’s best interest Assesses needs and develops a plan to meet those needs Completes required agency, funding, legal, statistical and fiscal documentation in an accurate and timely manner Complies with the regulations requiring a workplace of dignity and respect and equal employment opportunity compliance Works collaboratively with others and accepts constructive criticism from supervisors and managers Abides by the company’s published rules and regulations Under the supervision of the Director, ensures that the environment is safe and residents are adhering to house rules, program policies and regulations Provides security/reception services Makes hourly observation rounds and documents in communication book Required Education High School Diploma or GED required Required Experience At least one year work experience in a residential program and/or human services‑related field Equivalent training and experience on a year-for-year basis in a related field will be considered Driving Requirements Must be over the age of 21 required Minimum of 5 years driving experience required Possess a valid FL Driver’s license (within 30 days of hire if currently do not possess) Possess a continuously valid US Driver’s license for the past three years, from date of issue required Safe driving record required Required Skills and Abilities Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with residents and staff Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in high‑pressure situations Proficiency in documentation and record‑keeping to ensure accurate resident information Capability to work independently and as part of a team to support residents' needs Understanding of confidentiality and ethical standards in a behavioral health environment LifeStream Benefits Health/Dental/Vision Insurance Short Term Disability Pension Plan 403(b) Paid Time Off (Over 4 weeks your 1st year!)
