Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify the unique mental health needs of clients, developing tailored treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.

• Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions using a diverse range of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques.

• Collaborate with case managers and other health professionals to ensure that clients receive a holistic and integrated approach to their mental health care.

• Deliver crisis intervention support to clients experiencing acute distress or emergencies, ensuring their immediate safety and connection to additional resources as needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with a diverse client base that includes individuals from various backgrounds, ages, and mental health experiences. Our clients may face challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues, requiring a therapist with cultural competence and the ability to tailor therapeutic methods to each individual's unique context.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of a current and valid license in New York as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology is required.

• Demonstrated ability to build therapeutic relationships, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong organizational skills with a focus on maintaining accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and treatment plans.

• Cultural competence and sensitivity to effectively engage with clients from varied backgrounds.
