A growing public accounting firm is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to help lead and expand its tax practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the preparation and review of tax engagements by coordinating staffing, scheduling, and workflow.
• Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other entities.
• Manage client budgets, engagement timelines, and production goals.
• Build and strengthen client relationships while serving as a trusted advisor.
• Develop an understanding of clients' businesses to provide proactive tax planning and consulting.
• Improve departmental processes by identifying efficiencies and implementing best practices.
• Maintain quality control procedures throughout the tax engagement process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• Active CPA license required.
• 5+ years of recent public accounting experience with a primary focus on taxation.
• Strong experience preparing and reviewing complex tax returns.
• Experience managing multiple client engagements simultaneously.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel functions.
• Experience with tax preparation and accounting software is preferred.
