Tax Manager

Whitecap Search is seeking a qualified individual to join our team in a role that requires expertise in tax management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation and analysis, particularly in individual, corporate, partnership, and high net worth tax returns.

Function

The role involves providing detailed review and analysis of individual, corporate, partnership, and high net worth tax returns. Responsibilities include preparing complex tax returns, as well as payroll and sales and use tax returns. The candidate will be expected to build and maintain relationships with both new and existing clients, demonstrating a deep understanding of their businesses, especially in relation to partnership and pass-through taxation. Close collaboration with Tax Partners is essential to meet clients' planning and compliance needs. Staying informed on current tax practices and changes in tax law is crucial. The position requires managing multiple clients simultaneously.

Requirements

• 3 years of progressive tax experience in public accounting, particularly within a boutique CPA firm setting.
• BA/BS Degree in Accounting required.
• CPA or EA certification preferred.
• Strong accounting, tax, and analytical skills, with a focus on partnership, pass-through, and high net worth tax matters.
