Orthopedic Physical Therapist - Full-Time Role in Outpatient Care

Work Environment

Your new workplace will be set within our innovative outpatient office, equipped with advanced sports medicine facilities measuring over 5,000 square feet. You will be working alongside a committed team of two experienced physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA), creating an atmosphere that encourages open communication and teamwork. The clinic operates on-site, providing you with the opportunity to engage closely with both patients and colleagues throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patient needs to develop personalized treatment plans focused on pain relief, mobility enhancement, and functional independence.
• Implement diverse therapeutic techniques, ensuring each patient's treatment is evidence-based and aligned with their specific conditions.
• Conduct one-on-one sessions with patients, maintaining a patient load of one individual per hour to ensure focused, attentive care.
• Design and recommend tailored exercise and wellness programs that encourage patient involvement and accountability.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques and innovative modalities to advance patients' healing processes and improve their physical capabilities.
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatment plans and patient progress using EMR software such as WebPT.
• Monitor and evaluate treatment outcomes regularly, making adjustments as necessary while communicating effectively with patients about their progress.
• Fostering patient motivation and confidence, you will guide patients in overcoming barriers to recovery and enhancing their overall health.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address the full spectrum of patient needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on individuals with orthopedic conditions, many of whom are covered by private medical insurance. You will work with a diverse client population, ranging from post-operative patients to those seeking preventive care and therapeutic exercise for chronic issues. Our team's goal is to foster trust and build strong relationships with patients to enhance their therapeutic experience.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida, with no record of board or disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and clinical skills relevant to orthopedic settings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate with healthcare professionals.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting, showcasing a solid understanding of patient treatment methodologies.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT or similar platforms.
• Experience in developing fitness programs aimed at enhancing long-term health outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer an attractive compensation package, with a salary range of USD 130,000 – 140,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
