Key Responsibilities\n

As an LMFT with New Horizons, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating therapeutic sessions that support both individual and family needs. Your daily tasks will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing tailored treatment plans for individuals, couples, and families.
\n
• Leading therapy sessions that may focus on topics such as relationship dynamics, communication barriers, and familial conflicts.
\n
• Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address issues such as grief, trauma, blended family adjustments, job stress, and substance abuse.
\n
• Monitoring client progress and adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to foster positive outcomes.
\n
• Collaborating with other healthcare providers, as needed, to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
\n
• Engaging in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in marriage and family therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily involve serving diverse populations, including adults and children/adolescents. You will have the opportunity to engage with clients facing a variety of issues encompassing:

• Alcohol and substance abuse challenges.
\n
• Experiences of physical and psychological abuse.
\n
• Challenges associated with grief and loss.
\n
• Conflict resolution among family members, including siblings.
\n
• Handling cut-offs and relational stress between family units.
\n
• Navigating the complexities of blended families and adjustments following separation or divorce.
\n
• Improving communication strategies within familial structures.
\n

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field, alongside the following qualifications:

• A valid and active LMFT state license.
\n
• Strong foundation in clinical assessment and therapeutic interventions.
\n
• A demonstrated commitment to ethical practice and continuous improvement in mental health care.

Preferred Experience\n

While we welcome newly licensed LMFTs, candidates with the following experiences will be strongly considered:

• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote therapy delivery.

Compensation and Benefits\n
