Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions either in-home or via telehealth platforms, ensuring accessibility for families across Illinois.

• Utilize therapeutic techniques aimed at addressing challenges such as anger management, impulse control, and social skills training to mitigate high-risk behaviors, including self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression.
\n
• Work closely with families to enhance decision-making skills and help manage behavioral challenges within the home environment.
\n
• Actively collaborate with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals, ensuring coordinated efforts towards achieving therapeutic goals.
\n
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation, including intakes, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to required timeframes and quality standards.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings to review client progress and share insights or recommendations for ongoing treatment strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents aged 3 to 20 years, specifically those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). This role demands a passion for working with this unique population, addressing their specific needs through individualized care plans designed to promote their overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Illinois is essential for this position.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week, preferably during after-school hours (4-7 PM), with additional weekend hours being highly beneficial.

• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are crucial for in-home sessions.
\n
• A successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is mandatory.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience providing positive behavior support and working with children with intellectual and developmental disabilities is a significant advantage.

Compensation and Benefits\n
