Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of their mood disorder symptoms.

• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that align with their unique preferences and life goals.

• Employ various evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to deliver effective interventions.

• Provide psychoeducation and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies that foster mental well-being.

• Monitor and document client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to reflect their evolving needs and circumstances.

• Foster a cohesive approach to care by coordinating with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals.

• Stay informed on the latest research and developments in the field of mood disorders to enhance therapy practices and improve patient outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The focus of this role is on individuals suffering from mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. This population may include diverse demographics, such as homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse, all of whom face unique challenges. By building trusting relationships and providing excellent therapy, you will help clients navigate mental health challenges, equipping them with the tools they need to improve their lives.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of an active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited program.
