Although remote, our team collaborates regularly through virtual meetings, ensuring alignment and support among colleagues.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial consultations and evaluations to assess the mental, emotional, and behavioral health of clients.
\n
• Document all case details from the first interview through to the end of treatment, ensuring compliance with best practices and legal requirements.
\n
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans, considering the specific needs and challenges of each client.
\n
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, applying evidence-based therapeutic techniques to enhance client engagement and participation.
\n
• Regularly monitor and assess clients' progress towards their treatment goals, adjusting intervention strategies as needed.
\n
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, medical doctors, social workers, and nurses, to create comprehensive intervention plans.
\n
• Provide ongoing family support and education, assisting caregivers in managing the challenges associated with mental health issues.
\n
• Proactively identify and mitigate impediments to the recovery process, ensuring clients receive the necessary support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve come from diverse backgrounds, facing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use disorders, and other emotional or behavioral issues. Your compassionate approach will help foster trust and rapport, crucial elements in effective mental health treatment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) within the state of New Jersey.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong familiarity with psychotherapy trends and methodologies, particularly those pertinent to community health settings.

• Demonstrated experience in mental health counseling, including counseling individuals with co-occurring disorders.

• Proficiency with electronic health records systems, particularly AVATAR, to ensure effective patient documentation and follow-up.

• In-depth understanding of the impact of medication prescribed by healthcare professionals and its interaction with counseling strategies.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey therapeutic concepts and treatment plans.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding in client interactions.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year.
