Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform comprehensive intake assessments and mental health screenings to identify the unique needs of students and develop tailored treatment strategies.

• Provide one-on-one short-term counseling sessions, crisis intervention, and therapeutic support for students experiencing a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and academic concerns.

• Design and facilitate engaging therapy groups and workshops that address pertinent topics such as stress management, coping strategies, and personal growth tailored to the student population.

• Collaborate with faculty, academic advisors, residential life staff, and student organizations to create a supportive network aimed at enhancing student success through comprehensive mental health initiatives.

• Lead outreach programs such as mental health awareness campaigns, workshops, and wellness events that promote health literacy and proactive engagement among students.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of our counseling center is on college-age students who are navigating various mental health challenges that could impact their academic and personal lives. You will work closely with individuals facing stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and identity concerns, making a significant impact on their well-being and academic performance.

Qualifications\n

• Possession of a current and active license as a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A relevant Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field.

• Demonstrated understanding of the distinctive mental health issues and life challenges specific to young adults in a collegiate setting.

• Exceptional communication skills that enable effective rapport-building with students from diverse backgrounds, as well as collaboration with a multidisciplinary campus community.

• Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic models and brief therapy techniques suitable for a community counseling environment.
