Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews to gather comprehensive client histories and document cases meticulously from the initial consultation through the treatment process.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, behavioral, and emotional health to determine appropriate therapeutic interventions.
\n
• Develop customized intervention and recovery plans for a diverse range of clients, including individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring each plan aligns with evidence-based practices.
\n
• Lead individual and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic techniques to facilitate progress and assurance of a safe space for clients.
\n
• Monitor client progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing assessments and client feedback.
\n
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to deliver integrated care that meets the varying needs of clients.
\n
• Manage referrals efficiently to other specialists and follow up with out-of-office psychiatrists and physicians for clients who have been hospitalized.
\n
• Proactively identify and mitigate behaviors that hinder client recovery, thereby promoting effective coping strategies.
\n
• Engage and support family members and caretakers in navigating the complexities of mental health challenges impacting their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse client population, addressing issues ranging from anxiety and depression to complex trauma and substance use disorders. Your therapeutic approach will consider the unique backgrounds and experiences of each client, fostering an inclusive atmosphere where they feel understood and validated.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Texas.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated experience in a counseling role, ideally with a focus on outpatient settings.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Proficiency in managing electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly AVATAR, to maintain client documentation efficiently.

• A sound understanding of co-occurring disorders, addiction treatment, and the interplay between physical and mental health.
\n
• Familiarity with the best practices promulgated by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• In-depth knowledge of mental health medications and their implications for treatment, particularly those prescribed by other healthcare providers.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients, families, and colleagues.
\n
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, essential for client documentation and collaboration.
\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
