Account Representative, Account Development - Nutrinova

An Account Development Manager acts as the primary liaison between Nutrinova and our clients, fostering long-term relationships to drive retention and identify growth opportunities. They manage client portfolios, resolve issues, and ensure high satisfaction while achieving sales targets through value selling our differentiated product offering. Responsibilities Account management Manage and develop profitable sales in the assigned area of responsibility. Manage regional key accounts and assigned global key accounts. Manage and motivate channel partners, develop channel strategy for commercial success. Negotiate and execute contracts with the strategic accounts. Create account plans for all assigned customers and responsible for execution of account plans in collaboration with Marketing and R&D teams. Conduct general account management: customer visits, call reports, sampling, negotiations, customer service, etc. Provide accurate sales forecasts monthly. Negotiate sales contracts to ensure long-term profitable sales with the key customers. Support the customer care and credit teams to fulfill orders according to plan and receive outstanding payments in timely fashion. Value Capture manage cash collection including payment terms. Ensure sales growth in the high-end application / geographic areas. Gather and share market intelligence Continually assesses market and competitive situation in the assigned areas of responsibility. Gather volume/pricing/share intelligence. Pipeline Creation and Execution Provide business development for preservatives and sweeteners in food and non-food categories, including pharma, home care, cosmetic and personal care, in alignment with the business strategy. Surface project ideas, execute translation priorities, request technical R&D resources for sales support, introduce and sell new products to customers. Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Business, Food Science, Beverage Technology, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in account management, sales, customer success, or a related commercial role. Native or bilingual proficiency in English with fluent Spanish language skills (written and verbal). Preferred candidates will live within reasonable driving distance of a major U.S. commercial airport to support travel requirements. Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time, including both domestic and occasional international travel. Strong relationship-building, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple customer accounts and priorities. Must reside within the Eastern or Central Time Zone of the United States. Critical Experiences Knowledge of the region/industry. Relationship builder. Nutrinova is a joint venture of Mitsui & Co. and Celanese Corporation with a 50-year history of production and global distribution of sweetening and preservation solutions. Nutrinova pioneered the manufacturing and commercialization of the sweetener Acesulfame K and the preservatives Potassium Sorbate and Sorbic Acid while constantly following the highest standards and delivering premium quality products. Whilst Nutrinova is Headquartered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, our products are manufactured in a single-purpose plant in Germany and sold by our sales professionals across the globe. With our products, which are indispensable in the food and pharmaceutical industries, we target long-term, growing, future-oriented, and crisis-resistant markets. Sales of our products have grown steadily in recent years, leading to major expansion projects at both facilities that are now imminent. We are a dynamic and intercultural team with young leaders and a cross-departmental team spirit. Flat hierarchies, open-door policies, and short reporting lines enable us to solve all problems quickly and collaboratively. We maintain a strong safety culture and actively promote independent and autonomous work, thereby offering long-term prospects and opportunities for growth. Thanks to a wide range of process engineering solutions, including custom designs, the work is highly varied. Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets, work experience, and qualifications. The expected salary range for this position is between $78,000 and $103,800.
