Work Environment\n

This role is entirely remote, leveraging telehealth technologies to conduct therapy sessions. The flexibility of telehealth allows therapists to engage with clients in a safe and comfortable environment, reducing barriers to access care. At Healing Mind and Soul Center, we foster a collaborative virtual workspace with consistent communication, ongoing training, and peer support. Your work will take place primarily during after-school hours, with options for flexibility on weekends.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver high-quality individual and group therapy sessions via telehealth, addressing the specific needs of children and families.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based practices to provide anger management, coping strategies, and social skills training, positively impacting at-risk behaviors.
\n
• Assist youth and their caretakers in developing effective decision-making skills to navigate in-home behavioral challenges.
\n
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Child Family Treatment Teams and other mental health professionals to provide coherent and cohesive support.
\n
• Accurately document client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes within designated timelines to ensure compliance and quality care.
\n
• Attend monthly team meetings to discuss client progress and submit actionable recommendations for ongoing treatment plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be working with children and adolescents aged 3-20 who are dealing with developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. This role serves a diverse population, requiring a tailored approach to each child and their family. By providing therapeutic services, you help improve their quality of life and family dynamics, fostering resilience and growth within the client and their support systems.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) credential is essential for this role.

• Availability to provide a minimum of 5-10 hours of therapy weekly, with a focus on after-school hours (4-7 PM), and weekend availability is a plus.

• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle are required for potential in-home assessments.
\n
• Ability to pass a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is mandatory for compliance and safety.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience providing positive behavior support is highly desirable.

• Prior experience in working with children and adolescents with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) will enhance your effectiveness in this role.

• Proficiency in bilingual communication, specifically Spanish or Portuguese, will be considered a strong asset.

Compensation and Benefits\n
