(Coverage required in Newburgh, NY and Kingston, NY as needed)

Monday–Wednesday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate:
$19–$20 per hour

We are seeking a professional and dependable Medical Receptionist to support a busy healthcare office in Poughkeepsie, NY. This part-time role focuses on front desk operations, patient interaction, and administrative support.
Candidates must be flexible and willing to train in Newburgh and provide occasional coverage in Kingston when needed. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build experience in a medical office setting with potential for long-term employment.

Medical Receptionist Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and visitors in a friendly, professional manner
• Answer calls, schedule appointments, and manage provider calendars
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information
• Collect co-pays and process payments accurately
• Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR)
• Prepare and organize patient charts and documentation
• Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow
• Handle incoming and outgoing communications (phone, email, fax)
• Maintain a clean, organized reception area
• Adhere to HIPAA and confidentiality standards

Qualifications & Skills:

• Previous experience in a medical office or receptionist role preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable using computers and medical office systems (EHR experience a plus)
• High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
• Professional demeanor and ability to handle confidential information
• Must be able to travel between Poughkeepsie, Newburgh, and Kingston locations as needed
