Work Environment\n

This role is entirely remote, allowing for a work-life balance that suits both your professional and personal needs. You will connect with patients through telehealth platforms, adapting therapeutic interventions that consider the unique environmental factors of each client’s home setting. Our work hours are from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts depending on patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments tailored for older adults, identifying unique challenges such as cognitive decline and social isolation.

• Develop personalized treatment plans with clear, actionable strategies that take into account each patient’s cognitive abilities and social circumstances.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities to deliver individual and family therapy sessions, addressing the specific psychiatric needs of our elderly clients.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including geriatric psychiatrists and other health professionals, to provide cohesive, interdisciplinary care.

• Offer crisis intervention and swift support during acute mental health crises, ensuring patient safety and continuity of care.

• Inform and educate patients and their families about mental health diagnoses, treatment approaches, and community resources to foster their understanding and engagement.

• Ensure meticulous documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans to comply with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage actively in team discussions, sharing insights and participating in case consultations to continually refine best practices in geriatric mental health care.

• Commit to ongoing professional development by staying informed about recent advances in geriatric psychiatry and integrating new knowledge into practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role encompasses elderly clients facing a range of mental health challenges, including but not limited to mood disorders, anxiety, and cognitive impairments. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology, obtained from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT within the state of Illinois.

• A strong foundation in the principles of geriatric mental health, showcasing knowledge of treatment modalities specifically effective in this population.

• Aptitude in delivering engaging and effective individual and family therapy sessions to elderly clients.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with patients and their families.

• Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and adeptness with telehealth technology.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, particularly in a mental health setting focused on geriatric populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
