Accounts Payable Manager

Role Description
This role will lead a high performing team of leaders, individual contributors, and offshore teams to obtain department targets in the areas of efficiency, effectiveness, customer satisfaction and engaged associates. Focus workload is to oversee trade and non-trade payables processes to ensure timely payment to vendors, supporting day to day business operations. The Manager will establish and maintain partnerships with an offshore management partner, ensuring coordination and communication with offshore teams. Identify process improvement opportunities, while optimizing centralized work, and measuring the delivery of those services in a consistent, objective way.
The work for this position is completely remote anywhere in the United States except Hawaii or United States Territories.
Qualifications
- Five (5) years of management and leadership experience including evidence of developing a high performing team
- Seven (7) years of related experience in Accounts Payable or related finance roles required
- Demonstrated ability influencing multiple stakeholders at various levels in the organization
- Professional leadership skills, able to lead under pressure
- Ability to display technical and analytical skills to solve challenges through analysis of data
- Achieves results through collaborating effectively with others and team members
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey relevant information and ideas with confidence and professionalism
- Ability to develop a high performing team by setting high standards and inspiring others
- Ability to proactively plan and remove barriers, convey urgency, and act with speed to make decisions to focus on delivering results in a collaborative manner
- Ability to understand connection across complex systems and remove barriers of disparate systems to accomplish results
- Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint required
- Ability to learn proprietary US Foods systems (e.g. PeopleSoft, Remote Expense)
- Agility to respond to quickly learn new procedures, processes, product information
- Ability to work weekends or holidays if business needs dictate
- May require occasional travel (<5%)

- Standardize business processes utilizing automated tools where appropriate
- Ensure adoption and review compliance to SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
- Execute defined continuous improvement strategy to advance the organization
- Deliver functional projects as assigned, focused on technology and processes relevant to our established strategic roadmap
- Research and analyze data to draw conclusions, identify trends and uncover potential issues

Company Description
Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $75,000 - $125,000.
