Insightful Journeys Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Mental Health Therapist with licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT, to join our dynamic team. This full-time position operates in a remote outpatient setting while serving children and adolescents in Atlanta, Georgia. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing specialized mental health care, addressing a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges faced by youth.

Work Environment\n

The work setting is primarily remote, allowing our therapists the flexibility to provide care in an efficient and comfortable manner. However, the outpatient office component ensures that our therapists have access to a supportive team and resources in person when necessary. Our standard working hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts as needed to accommodate patient requirements.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed and comprehensive mental health assessments to identify the concerns and needs of children and adolescents.

• Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient, taking into account their developmental stage, family dynamics, and individual circumstances.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address various mental health issues, such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders.

• Deliver family therapy sessions, providing guidance and support to parents and caregivers to create nurturing home environments.
\n
• Collaborate closely with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to care.

• Provide crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies involving patients.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and available treatment options, enhancing their understanding and involvement in the therapeutic process.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation, adhering to legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in team meetings and case consultations to enhance treatment strategies and improve patient outcomes.

• Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in child and adolescent mental health treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role will primarily focus on children and adolescents experiencing a variety of mental health challenges. The typical client profile includes young individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other behavioral disorders. Our therapeutic approach is family-centered, and supporting families is key to our mission of creating sustainable mental health solutions for our patients.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Georgia.

• In-depth knowledge of child and adolescent mental health and experience using evidence-based treatment modalities.
\n
• Demonstrated experience providing individual and family therapy to children and adolescents, focusing on a compassionate and child-centered approach.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on building rapport and trust with young individuals and their families.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications to support accurate documentation and communication.

• A commitment to working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in mental health counseling, specifically working with children and adolescents.

• Experience in providing family therapy and crisis intervention.

• Knowledge of community resources and referral systems pertinent to child and adolescent mental health services.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience, plus opportunities for performance-based bonuses.
