Work Environment\n

This position operates in a remote capacity; however, participation in our outpatient office sessions may be required. Our team operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on the needs of our patients. You will work in coordination with a close-knit team, engaging in virtual meetings and case consultations to ensure collaborative and comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents to determine their unique needs and challenges.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that take into account developmental stages, familial contexts, and individual goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities to provide effective counseling and support for various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and conduct disorders.

• Work closely with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care efforts, ensuring a holistic approach to patient well-being.

• Provide crisis intervention services as needed, equipping families with strategies to manage mental health emergencies effectively.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health awareness, treatment options, and community resources available to them.

• Contribute to team meetings and case discussions, sharing insights and learning from others in order to enhance treatment practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role predominantly serves a diverse population of children and adolescents experiencing a variety of mental health challenges. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will address issues ranging from developmental disorders to severe emotional disturbances, ensuring not only that each child receives tailored care but also that family dynamics are integrated into treatment approaches for optimal outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, mental health counseling, or psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Valid licensure as an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), or LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist) in the state of Georgia.

• In-depth knowledge of child and adolescent development, mental health disorders, and therapeutic approaches tailored to this age group.

• Demonstrated experience in providing individual and family therapy.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to connect with children and their families.

Compensation and Benefits\n
