HEALTH PROGRAM ANALYST I/EMERGENCY APPOINTMENTS HOMELESSNESS

Health Program Analyst I (Emergency) Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health is seeking a qualified, passionate individual to assist in addressing the homelessness crisis. This emergency position focuses on health‑focused programs for homeless populations. Essential Job Functions Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of health‑focused programs. Assist with the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of program policies, goals, and objectives. Assist with grant preparation and ensure compliance with grant requirements. Assist with coordination, planning, and development of program budgets and monitor established budgets. Evaluate contract activities related to compliance, service delivery, operations, and budgets for quality assurance. Gather and analyze information related to the project or program, prepare reports and correspondence. Assist in formulating and presenting recommendations to management for program modifications or corrective action based on evaluations. Coordinate and participate in focus groups with clients regarding quality of care issues. Assist in development and implementation of community action plans and aid in policy passage and implementation process. Represent or advocate for the needs and rights of clients at hearings or meetings with service providers, as needed. Selection Requirements Option I Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Counseling, Health Care Administration/Management, Public Administration, Behavioral Sciences, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or a closely related field. Two years of experience at the level of Management Analyst performing assignments in mental health or public health program analysis. Alternatively, a Master’s degree may be substituted for one year of the required experience. Option II Four years of experience performing assignments in mental health or public health program analysis. Two of those years must have been at the level of Management Analyst. Additional Requirements Valid California Class C driver license or ability to use alternative transportation. Physical class II – light.
