At Life Journey Psychotherapy Center, you will experience a flexible work structure focusing on the well-being of both staff and clients. Our telehealth facility allows you to connect with patients from the comfort of your home while ensuring the highest standards of privacy and confidentiality. Our typical work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility required to meet patient needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough, culturally sensitive mental health assessments to understand the unique experiences of each patient and develop tailored treatment plans.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, ensuring that services are personalized to individual patient backgrounds and beliefs.

• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, utilizing techniques that promote resilience, coping skills, and emotional well-being.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to patient care.

• Offer immediate crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, ensuring that patients receive timely assistance when needed.

• Educate patients and their families on mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources, fostering a collaborative approach to care.

• Maintain accurate and secure documentation of patient interactions in accordance with legal and ethical standards, using electronic health record (EHR) systems.

• Participate actively in case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing cultural competency training to enhance service delivery and personal growth.

• Stay updated on current research, therapeutic methodologies, and cultural considerations relevant to mental health to continuously improve treatment effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist will primarily involve working with a diverse patient population, including ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrant communities. You will be responsible for offering individualized therapeutic approaches that acknowledge and respect the various cultural, social, and personal narratives of our clients. Your contributions will directly impact their paths to recovery and mental wellness, ensuring that they feel valued and understood throughout their therapeutic journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Valid and current licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• A deep understanding of mental health disorders, treatment approaches, and the essential nature of cultural competence in therapy.

• Experience in delivering both individual and group therapy, with a focus on culturally responsive techniques.

• Proven crisis intervention skills and the ability to manage high-stress situations calmly and effectively.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills that facilitate rapport-building with a diverse customer base.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, as well as basic computer applications necessary for administrative tasks.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 100,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.
