Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments tailored to the unique needs of each client, utilizing evidence-based practices and solution-focused interventions to formulate individualized treatment plans.

• Implement a variety of therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and other evidence-based modalities to address diverse mental health challenges.

• Maintain precise and confidential clinical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring clinical documentation accurately reflects the care provided.

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary treatment team, which includes psychiatrists and psychologists, to develop comprehensive care strategies for clients, enhancing their therapeutic experience.

• Engage in regular consultations and peer review meetings to exchange insights, broaden perspectives, and promote best practices in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Therapist at Piedmont Care, you will work with a diverse client population, encompassing individuals experiencing various mental health challenges. This includes but is not limited to those dealing with anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma, and relationship issues. Understanding the nuances of each client’s background and tailoring your approach will be essential in fostering a supportive therapeutic environment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• An active license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State.

• Proficient in using solution-centered psychotherapy techniques and interventions to effectively address individual client needs.

• Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrating an ability to connect with clients on a personal level.

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to navigate complex client situations effectively.
