Work Environment

This position is onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Daytona Beach. You will work within a collaborative team that includes physical therapy assistants, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. The work setting is designed to provide a warm, supportive atmosphere conducive to healing and recovery. Monday to Friday scheduling ensures a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs, focusing on restoring mobility and minimizing discomfort.
• Overseeing and mentoring physical therapy assistants to ensure the effective implementation of the care plan.
• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of clients' functional status through diagnostic assessment of muscle, nerve, joint, and functional capabilities.
• Assessing the home environment to recommend improvements that enhance clients' independence, allowing for increased involvement in their daily activities.
• Providing hands-on therapeutic interventions, including manual exercises, resistance training, and modalities like traction and massage.
• Fitting and adjusting orthotic and prosthetic devices, collaborating closely with physicians for necessary modifications.
• Documenting clinical findings, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, and maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Participating actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss treatment plans and collaborate on comprehensive care delivery.
• Educating clients and families on the rehabilitation process and the use of therapy equipment, fostering a cooperative approach to recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse patient population recovering from various conditions, including post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, chronic pain management, and stroke recovery. Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess the following:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is strongly preferred.
• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Florida.
• Current CPR certification.
• A valid driver's license with automobile insurance.

Preferred Experience
