Work Environment

This position is based in our onsite rehabilitation facility, where you will work alongside a diverse and multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial evaluations of patients, assessing their physical condition, functional limitations, and treatment needs based on physician referrals.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and establish achievable goals in collaboration with patients, ensuring therapeutic interventions are tailored to their specific conditions.
• Implement various therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and advanced modalities, to enhance recovery and improve functional status.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes utilizing electronic medical record (EMR) systems to ensure continuity of care and compliance.
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and other support staff, ensuring high-quality patient care and fostering a supportive learning environment.
• Engage with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, occupational therapists (OTs), and speech-language pathologists (SLPs), to develop and modify treatment programs based on patient progress.
• Participate in regular team meetings to review patient cases, discuss treatment outcomes, and implement strategies for performance improvement.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population, ranging from adolescents to seniors, facing various challenges due to injury, surgery, chronic conditions, and post-operative rehabilitation. Your expertise will play a crucial role in empowering patients to regain mobility, strength, and functionality, contributing to their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients and the healthcare team.
• Proficiency in utilizing word processing and EMR systems necessary for maintaining patient records.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of experience in a physical therapy setting is preferred, where you have demonstrated your ability to manage a diverse caseload.
• Familiarity with various treatment modalities and evidence-based practices within physical therapy is a valuable asset.

Compensation and Benefits

Swift Peace Physical Therapy offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
