We are seeking a passionate and qualified Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our dedicated team in Daytona Beach, Florida. We are a physical therapist-owned practice specializing in orthopedics and primarily serving patients with private medical insurance, reflecting our commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare tailored to individual needs.

Work Environment

This onsite position is situated in a spacious, modern rehabilitation center, featuring a comprehensive range of therapeutic modalities and state-of-the-art facilities, including private treatment rooms and open therapy areas. Our team consists of experienced professionals, including two physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA), working together to provide collaborative and high-quality care. The work schedule follows a weekday routine, running Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, and allows our staff to enjoy a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify patients' goals and needs, creating individualized treatment plans that reflect these objectives.
• Manage a caseload efficiently, providing one-on-one patient care sessions lasting an hour each, ensuring ample time to address each patient's treatment and comfort.
• Utilize advanced manual therapy techniques and exercise protocols to treat a variety of orthopedic conditions effectively.
• Deliver cost-effective care that reduces reliance on medication and explores alternatives to invasive surgical procedures, prioritizing patient safety and long-term health.
• Design and implement tailored fitness and wellness programs focused on enhancing strength, flexibility, balance, and overall coordination for each patient.
• Document all patient interactions meticulously, maintaining comprehensive records that convey treatment progress and outcomes.
• Maintain consistent communication with patients regarding their treatment progress and motivate them to embrace a proactive approach in their rehabilitation.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, referring appropriately when necessary, to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.
• Regularly assess treatment effectiveness and adjust care plans based on evaluated outcomes.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid Florida state license as a Physical Therapist, with an unblemished professional record and no disciplinary actions.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and developing personalized exercise protocols for a varied patient demographic.
• Proficiency in utilizing Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting, with a proven track record of successful patient outcomes.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices and a passion for ongoing professional development in physical therapy methodologies.
• Experience in designing fitness and wellness programs is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional training and development.
