Active Motion and Movement Physical Therapy is actively seeking a committed Physical Therapist (PT) to join our dedicated team in Oakland, California. About the Organization

At Active Motion and Movement Physical Therapy, we pride ourselves on fostering a patient-centered approach in a state-of-the-art facility that spans over 5,000 square feet. Our team consists of two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA) who collaborate to offer comprehensive care primarily to individuals with private medical insurance. We equip our facility with advanced sports medicine technology, allowing us to stay on the cutting edge of rehabilitation practices.

Work Environment

The position is on-site and primarily operates within a home care setting, ensuring that our patients receive support in their preferred environments. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for work-life balance while ensuring that our therapists can dedicate themselves fully to patient care. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify patient needs and establish goals for therapy.
• Maintain a patient load of one individual per hour to ensure focused, high-quality care.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based therapeutic techniques and modalities.
• Administer cost-effective therapy strategies that enhance clients' mobility, flexibility, and overall functional abilities.
• Utilize non-invasive alternatives to medications, emphasizing holistic care approaches.
• Develop customized fitness and wellness programs that align with each patient's personal objectives and physical capabilities.
• Educate and motivate patients throughout the rehabilitation process, fostering a supportive environment that encourages progress.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care and effective treatment solutions.
• Monitor and document patient progress accurately, communicating changes in health status as warranted.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on individuals requiring orthopedic rehabilitation, including those recovering from surgeries, injuries, and chronic pain conditions. By centering our practice around the needs of these patients, we strive to improve functional mobility and quality of life through individualized care plans that incorporate both physical rehabilitation and lifestyle modifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• Active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in California without any board or disciplinary actions.
• Strong proficiency in manual therapy techniques and exercise program design tailored to various patient needs.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to manage patient documentation efficiently.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in orthopedic outpatient settings is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated success in developing and implementing rehabilitation strategies that achieve positive patient outcomes.
• Experience collaborating with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
