Key Responsibilities

• Engage with pediatric patients and their families, providing clear communication regarding therapy progress, challenges, and home exercise programs.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of pediatric patients, analyze their functional capabilities, and design tailored treatment plans to address their unique needs.
• Administer remedial treatments aimed at restoring physical function, enhancing mobility, relieving pain, and minimizing the impact of disabilities.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers, documenting patient progress and maintaining accurate records in compliance with facility protocols.
• Provide direct treatment through various clinical interventions, including hands-on techniques, strengthening exercises, and coordination of family training sessions.
• Facilitate smooth transitions of care by coordinating patient treatment plans with administrative staff, ensuring continuity and quality of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily focuses on pediatric patients, including infants, children, and adolescents, many of whom are dealing with congenital conditions, developmental delays, and sports injuries. Your role is vital in not only providing therapeutic interventions but also in educating and empowering families to support their children's rehabilitation journey outside the clinical setting.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required.
• A current and valid Florida Physical Therapy License is mandatory.
• A comprehensive understanding of human anatomy and physiology is essential.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with children, families, and a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
• Knowledge of hospital medicine practices and pediatric rehabilitation techniques is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of clinical experience in an acute care environment, with specific exposure to pediatric therapy.
• Proficiency in trigger point therapy techniques and familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

Compensation and Benefits
