Work Environment

This position offers the unique opportunity to work onsite in the patient's home, allowing for a personalized approach to therapy. As a Physical Therapist, you will conduct assessments and provide treatments in diverse home environments, adapting to their specific living conditions and providing tailored recommendations. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial patient evaluations to identify goals, movement restrictions, and areas of focus for therapy.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that encompass a range of interventions such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and patient education.
• Manage a caseload of patients effectively, typically handling one patient per hour to ensure dedicated attention and quality care.
• Utilize EMR Software, specifically WebPT, to document treatments, track progress, and maintain thorough records for each patient.
• Motivate and guide patients through their rehabilitation journey, providing encouragement and support to maximize their recovery potential.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team, including physicians, to develop comprehensive care strategies that enhance patient outcomes.
• Regularly evaluate the efficacy of treatment plans and adjust as necessary based on patient progress and feedback.
• Encourage patients to adhere to wellness recommendations geared toward sustaining their functional abilities post-therapy.
• Educate patients and their families about home exercise programs and preventive measures to enhance long-term health.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following best practices in infection control.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patient population at Serenity Motion Therapy primarily consists of individuals undergoing treatment for orthopedic conditions, including post-operative recovery and chronic pain management. Our clients range from post-surgical patients needing rehabilitation to those managing chronic musculoskeletal disorders. You will play an integral role in helping these patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life through tailored, evidence-informed approaches and nurturing support.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Master's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• An exemplary professional record with no history of disciplinary action against your license.
• Proven expertise in administering manual therapy techniques and crafting effective exercise protocols.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster effective relationships with patients and their families.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) management, particularly with WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience as a Physical Therapist in an outpatient orthopedic setting is strongly preferred.
• Competence in developing fitness programs and educational materials for patients.
• Experience in home care settings is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
