Payroll ClerkClayton Services is searching for a Payroll Clerk to join a growing construction organization in North Houston. The Payroll Clerk will be responsible for supporting weekly payroll operations, accurately entering employee and equipment hours, maintaining confidential records, and assisting with various administrative functions in a fast-paced office environment.Job Type: Temporary (approximately 6-8 weeks, possibly longer)Pay Rate: $23.00 - $26.00/hourSchedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PMPayroll Clerk Responsibilities:Enter and verify employee time records and equipment usage informationAssist with the preparation and processing of weekly payrollReview payroll information for accuracy and resolve discrepancies as neededMaintain confidential payroll, employee, and company informationPrepare, organize, and file payroll-related documentationProvide administrative support to the accounting and operations teamsAssist with special projects and additional office duties as assignedEnsure payroll processes comply with company policies and proceduresPayroll Clerk Skills and Abilities:Exceptional attention to detail and strong data accuracy skillsProficiency with Microsoft Excel and general computer applicationsAbility to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretionStrong organizational and time management skillsEffective written and verbal communication abilitiesAbility to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlinesTeam-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn new systems and processesBasic mathematical aptitude and problem-solving capabilitiesPayroll Clerk Education and Experience:High school diploma or GED requiredAdditional coursework or certification in payroll, accounting, or business administration is preferredPrevious office, administrative, payroll, or data entry experience requiredPrior construction payroll experience strongly preferredExperience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment is a plusFamiliarity with payroll software and timekeeping systems preferredPayroll Clerk - Immediate need.
