Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Occupational Therapist Discipline: Therapy Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Evaluate and treat patients of all ages, designing and implementing appropriate care plans. Perform patient transfers safely, utilizing proper body mechanics to prevent injury. Educate patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare providers using effective teaching methods. Conduct examinations using reliable and valid methods to determine therapy needs and outcomes. Screen patients to assess the need for therapy services and adjust care based on patient response and evidence. Document evaluations, treatment plans, and patient responses in compliance with department policies. Collaborate with patients, families, and the medical team throughout the rehabilitation process, providing education and training as needed. Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and rehabilitation technicians per regulatory guidelines.
