Work Environment

The Surgical Center is designed to provide a safe and efficient environment for both patients and staff. As a Full-Time Surgical Physician Assistant, you will work onsite within a dynamic team of surgeons, nurses, and allied health professionals. Your typical work week will be Monday through Friday, amounting to 40 hours weekly, with shifts starting at 5:00 pm, allowing you to balance your professional and personal life effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments and post-operative evaluations to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Assist surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory work and imaging studies, to facilitate accurate diagnosis and treatment.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, focusing on both surgical and non-surgical interventions.
• Monitor and manage patients’ recovery in the pre-operative and post-operative phases, providing education and support to patients and families.
• Document patient progress accurately and maintain organized records in compliance with regulations and standards.
• Educate patients on post-operative care, including activity restrictions and self-care strategies to promote recovery.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay abreast of advances in surgical techniques and best practices.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies or a closely related field.
• A valid Texas State Physician Assistant license (PA-C) and an active DEA registration.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation package for this position ranges from USD 150,000 to 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
