Executive Director, SMUD Museum of Science and Curiosity The next Executive Director will build on MOSAC’s foundation to unlock potential and shape how the region connects to science, education, and possibility. Responsibilities include translating early momentum into long‑term sustainability, expanding earned and contributed revenue, deepening community engagement, and building a clear and compelling strategic direction for the future. The role requires a leader who can guide internal operations while actively building relationships with donors, partners, educators, and civic leaders, and who is comfortable engaging with students, educators, board members, and the community at large. Qualifications Prior executive or senior leadership experience is preferred. Experience in museums or cultural institutions is helpful but not required. The ideal candidate is a confident, mission‑driven leader, strong communicator and relationship builder, energized by fundraising and partnership development, and able to make decisions, set priorities, and move work forward.
