About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with an active CPA to join their executive team. The CFO will be a key strategic leader, providing financial oversight and guidance to ensure the organization's sustainability and growth. This hands-on role involves developing and implementing financial strategies that align with the company's mission and multi-entity structure, leading the annual budgeting process, and providing financial analysis for decision-making. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the financial operations of the organization, including accounting, financial reporting, and compliance with GAAP and nonprofit standards. Applicants for the CFO position at the company must have a minimum of 10 years' of financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years' in a senior management role. Deep expertise in nonprofit financial management, including fund accounting, grant compliance, and government-funded programs, is essential. The CFO will also be tasked with overseeing external audits, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting, as well as managing a high-performing finance and accounting team. The ideal candidate will be a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board, with a proven track record of managing complex financial operations and a strong understanding of financial risk management. Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills are required to translate financial information into actionable insights for both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
